Refund Policy
Refund eligibility, cancellation terms, and deposit handling for Desktop Haven Way register documentation services.
Overview
This policy applies to documentation services booked directly with Desktop Haven Way. Website pricing is informational only; payments are arranged by invoice outside this site.
Deposit Refunds
Initial register engagements require a 40% deposit. Full deposit refunds are available if you cancel at least ten business days before the first scheduled verification visit. Cancellations within ten business days forfeit 50% of the deposit to cover reserved staff time.
Full Refunds
You receive a full refund of fees paid (including deposit) if we cancel an engagement due to our unavailability or if we determine during intake that your request falls outside our service scope before verification begins.
Partial Refunds
If you cancel after verification visits have occurred but before register delivery, you owe fees for completed visits (₩220,000 per visit) plus materials costs incurred. Any remainder of amounts paid is refunded.
If delivered work contains factual errors in site codes or viewer names attributable to our staff, we correct the register at no charge. If correction is insufficient and you return the bound register undamaged within fourteen days, a partial refund of up to 40% of the engagement fee may apply at our discretion.
Non-Refundable Items
- Rush surcharges once work has commenced on the expedited timeline
- Travel fees for completed trips
- Bound ledger materials after final delivery and your written acceptance
- Annual review sessions you miss without 48-hour rescheduling notice (one complimentary reschedule per calendar year)
Refund Process
Email contact@desktop-havenway.click with your engagement reference, cancellation reason, and bank details for transfer. Approved refunds process within fourteen business days to the original payment method where possible.
Rescheduling
Verification visits may be rescheduled once without penalty if requested at least five business days in advance. Additional rescheduling may incur a ₩60,000 administrative fee.
No-Shows
Failure to provide site access at a confirmed appointment without notice is treated as a completed visit for billing purposes.
Work Already Started
Estate reconstruction and retroactive audit trail projects are non-refundable once interview transcripts are shared with you, reflecting labour invested regardless of final register acceptance.
Purchased Materials
Third-party items ordered specifically for your engagement (custom binders, tamper-evident supplies) are non-refundable once ordered.
Exceptions
Compassionate exceptions for bereavement or medical emergency may be considered case by case. Contact us with documentation.
